About Dr. Kassimir

Hi, I’m Dr. Marisa Kassimir and I am so thrilled that you have found your way here. It is my great joy to walk alongside you in this journey towards helping you heal your mind, body, and soul.

Do you have depression, anxiety, or painful menstrual cycles? Have you struggled to find a provider that will listen, spend time with you, and fully get to the bottom of your symptoms? I’ve been there. After a decade of being on birth control pills, I found myself battling excruciatingly painful menstrual cycles, struggling to help my anxiety and depression from a purely psychiatric approach, and not fully understanding the powerful ability of my own body.

Fortunately, I found a naturopathic doctor who took my symptoms seriously and employed a whole-body approach. During our work together, she educated me on the direct role that nutrition and the physical body play in mental health. She balanced my hormones with herbs, supplementation, and lifestyle changes. But most importantly, she empowered me to take full control of my health, which in turn made me realize my desire to help others do the same.

I have helped folks struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD take a holistic and trauma-informed approach to their mental health. I believe and honor your inner knowing that there are better options for symptoms like irregular periods, low libido, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence than what has previously been offered to you. My passion extends to treating all chronic diseases, including autoimmune, metabolic, and endocrine disorders. I am so grateful that naturopathic medicine allows me the freedom to apply a wide variety of tools and modalities to any case and to truly individualize treatment.

On a practical note, I follow and abide by a trauma-informed and informed-consent model in order to create a truly safe space for everyone. I pride myself on spending time to learn about you as a whole and to listen to your concerns with empathy and compassion. I work fervently to get to the bottom of the symptoms that have been dismissed in the past and aim to use an integrative and holistic approach to help you feel like the best version of yourself. And most importantly, it is my deepest goal to meet you wherever you are and help you to take meaningful steps toward healing.
